Jonathan Polon FSA
Chief Analytics Officer

Jonathan Polon brings more than 15 years of actuarial experience to our clients with advanced expertise in predictive modeling techniques. Before Claim Analytics, Jonathan acted as Director of Market Risk Management for an international life insurance company He also led the credit card fraud detection initiative at an e-commerce payment processor.

As Chief Analytics Officer, Jonathan is responsible for overseeing and building predictive models. For over 9 years, he has been building predictive models and has successfully provided solutions for over 20 companies.

He believes that adding quantitative discipline to qualitative domains helps make better decisions. Jonathan works closely with his clients as strategic partners, building leading edge business applications and innovative predictive models to improve results.

So why choose our predictive models over our competition?
“We have been working directly with insurance companies since our inception. We have learned how to provide predictive modeling tools that are easy to implement into their business processes and help them better achieve their business objectives,” says Jonathan.

What are the challenges Claim Analytics has overcome in the past?
“Fraud Detection is a very unique challenge. Most fraud goes undetected. We cannot simply build models based on the fraudulent claims that are known because such a model would not detect unknown schemes. Instead, the approach we chose is to look for outliers. We profile claims and providers and then look for those which don’t match a typical profile,” say Jonathan.
